Hendry Saputra/Hendra Wijaya triumphed over Hopp Kristo/Kindervater Ingo of the Germany with an impressive scoreline of 21-16, 21-10.
Women's Doubles
Jiang Yanmei/Li Yujia lost to Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen Hsing but not before putting up a great fight, losing 17-21, 19-21.
Li Li defeated Nicole Grether to set up a match with World Champion Xie Xingfang. Will she create another upset like what she did in last year's Malaysian Open?
Mixed Doubles
Hendry Saputra/Li Yujia displayed their awesome skills by thrashing Taiwan's Hu Chung-Shya/Liu Shu Chih 21-8, 21-6. They will face a challenging task by meeting China's up and coming pair Sun Junjie/Tian Qing tomorrow.
Kendrick Lee also thrashed another Taiwan, Shih Kuei Chun, 21-6, 21-6. He will meet Eric Pang for a place in the quarter-finals.
Overall, i believe our players did well. Will be expecting more of them tomorrow!
