Men's, Women's Singles

Sad to say, both our male singles shuttlers crashed out of the tournament.

Kendrick Lee failed to make the round 1/16 as he lost to Korea's rising star Park Sung Hwan 21-16, 21-17.

Ronald Susilo was then defeated by Chen Hong 16-21, 18-21.

However, Li Li did cause some smile by entering the quarter-finals!
She overcame Korea's Kang Hae Won 21-14, 21-19 to set up a quarter-final showdown with Hong Kong's Yip Pui Yin.
I believe she has a very good chance of entering the semi-finals once again.

Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles

All of our shuttlers in these 3 events made it to the next round.

Brothers Hendry Saputra/Hendra Wijaya defeats Jurgen WOUTERS /Ruud BOSCH of the Netherlands 21-16, 21-16 to set up a fight with China's No.2 Guo Zhendong/Zheng Bo.
I believe that will be the Match of the Round =)
Go Singapore!

Hendry Saputra then teamed up with Li Yujia to thrash Hong Kong's Leung Chun Yiu/Mong Kwan Yi 21-4, 21-8.
They will meet rising Taiwanese stars Tsai Chia Hsin/Cheng Wen Hsing.
I believe this is another Match of the Round and it is gonna be difficult to predict who is going to win.
But once again, go Singapore!

Li Yujia then teamed up with Jiang Yanmei to take on Taiwan's Chou Chia-Chi/Ku Pei-Ting.
They took the first set 21-19 with much difficulties. However, they managed to pull themselves back up and finished the match off 21-13.
They will meet arch-rivals Wong Pei Thy/Chin Eei Hui of our neighbouring Malaysia.
Another Match of the Round, and i really hope Yanmei/Yujia will avenge their loss in the finals of the Commonwealth Games.

Singapore in 3 Match of the Rounds. And we hope the 3 of them will make it through!
We wish them all the best in overcoming their worthy opponents.
